This
unique harp is a replica of the oldest harp in existence (c.
1370). Crafted from 3 of the sacred trees of Ireland, the
harmonic curve is of bog oak, some 5,000 years old, the backboard of
bog yew, some 6,000 years old, the pillar of yew, over 500 years old
and the soundbox hollowed from a solid piece of willow. The headpiece
of sterling silver is inset with quartz crystal, lorimar and amber, all
of which have spiritual and healing properties. The strings are of
gold, silver and brass which produce very distinctive bell like
tones. Created especially for ceremony,
meditation and healing, it is known as the Faerie Harp of Tara and was
first played in the Banquet Hall on the Hill of Tara before the strings
had even settled in, and later at the place where Amerghin is reputed
to be buried.  These Uilleann Pipes have a sweet mellow tone . They too were dreamed and created especially for healing and sacred ceremony. They and the Harp are played only in sacred sites and at weddings and sacred/healing ceremonies.
